Weber County Jail Records
The official starting point for current Weber County jail records is the Weber County current inmate roster. It is a county-hosted roster, not a separate vendor portal, and it covers current custody at the sheriff-operated Weber County Correctional Facility. The roster is maintained by the Weber County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division, which operates the jail under Sheriff Ryan Arbon. It is useful for a fast name check, but it should not be treated as a full criminal-history search or a final court-status report.
The roster list inspected on July 1, 2026 showed inmate names, a "When Booked" date, and a Details link. It did not show a facility filter, charge search, booking-date picker, release-date search, export button, or public refresh-frequency note in the captured form. A roster charge is a jail booking data point. Formal court charges can change after the Weber County Attorney's Office or another prosecutor reviews the case. For the court side of the same arrest, use the Weber County court records after jail arrest workflow.
The Weber County roster is also not a Utah prison locator. People sentenced to state custody, placed under Adult Probation and Parole supervision, or housed at the Northern Utah Community Correctional Center belong in Utah Department of Corrections systems. Federal and immigration custody have separate lookup tools. If the roster does not find a person, the next step depends on where the person may be held, what stage the case is in, and whether the record is current or historical.
Use the Weber County Roster
The Weber County Sheriff's Office corrections page links to the roster, booking, release, bail, visitation, mail, inmate services, records, and the Kiesel Facility. For a person believed to be in local jail custody, start with the roster before calling the jail. A new booking may not appear at once, especially while intake, medical screening, identity checks, or classification are still underway.
- Open the official current inmate roster and start with the Last Name field. Use a full surname when spelling is certain, or a shorter spelling when names may vary.
- Add First Name when the surname is common or too many rows return. The public form does not require a booking number to start.
- Review the result list for the person's name and the "When Booked" date. The inspected roster used a YYYY-MM-DD date format.
- Select Details for the matching person. The detail page is where booking number, charges, bond, and other profile fields may appear when available.
- If there is no match, check spelling, try fewer letters, search again later, call the jail, use VINELink, and check UDC, BOP, or ICE if the person may not be in county custody.
The roster contained 714 detail links when inspected on July 1, 2026. That was a same-day roster snapshot, not an annual average daily population figure. A person can be booked, released, transported, or transferred faster than a casual searcher refreshes the page, so urgent release or transport questions should be confirmed with jail staff.
Weber County Roster Fields
The public roster form is simple. It accepts name-based searches and then routes the user to a list with detail links. That matters because many failed searches come from trying to search by charge, facility, date, or release status even though those fields were not visible in the captured form.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Options / Format Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Text | Unspecified | Public form label says "Last Name"; use a full or partial surname if the page accepts it. |
| First Name | Text | Unspecified | Public form label says "First Name"; use it to narrow common surnames. |
| Search | Button | n/a | Runs the roster search. |
| Reset | Button | n/a | Clears the fields and returns to the default roster state. |

The image matches the research finding that the current roster search is name-based and that the Details link is the gateway to a public profile.
Weber County Inmate Profile
Weber County inmate profile fields vary by record. The list view reliably showed name, booking date, and a Details link during inspection. Detail pages can include more facts, but the safer reading is "can include" rather than "always includes." If a specific field is missing, the absence may be a data choice, a timing issue, a restricted record, or a profile-level variation.
| Field | What It Shows / Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | Full inmate name in the roster list and profile. |
| When Booked | Booking date; YYYY-MM-DD format was observed in roster rows. |
| Details | Link to the public inmate profile page. |
| Booking number | May appear on profile pages; it is a county booking identifier, not a DOC number. |
| Charges | Custody or booking charges may appear; prosecutor-filed court charges may later differ. |
| Bond | Bond amount or type may appear when entered; a hold can still block release. |
| Housing/location | If shown, treat it as current and subject to change. |
| Mugshot | A persistent mugshot field was not confirmed in the list view; check Details first. |
| Release/status | The current roster generally implies custody, but release can happen before a refresh. |
| Redactions | Juvenile, protected, medical, victim, witness, sealed, and private data are not public under Utah law. |
For the booking-photo side of the same profile search, use the Weber County jail roster mugshots record path after checking the Details page.
Weber County Booking Records
Weber County booking starts when an arresting agency transports a person to the Weber County Correctional Facility. The county's booking and release page describes the local process: after booking is complete, booking staff inform the arrestee of the charges and bail required for release, including whether the amount is cash-only or bondable. Holds are also disclosed during the booking and release process.
Intake can include identity checks, property inventory, safety and medical screening, fingerprints, a booking photo if taken, charge or hold entry, classification, housing assignment, and eligibility review for release or court appearance. Inmates are first housed in Reception and Orientation until classified. Weber County research says no visiting or commissary purchases are allowed while an inmate is in R&O, collect calls may be made there, and a Classification Corrections Officer decides the best housing situation. Classification can take up to 72 hours.
For older booking reports, arrest reports, or records that are not visible on the roster, use the Weber County Sheriff's Office records and GRAMA process. Utah GRAMA allows public-record requests, but it also permits agencies to withhold private, controlled, protected, sealed, juvenile, medical, victim, witness, or security-sensitive records when the law requires it.
Weber County Jail Facilities
Three facilities matter to Weber County inmate records, but they do not all use the same lookup path. The main 12th Street jail is the county roster facility. Kiesel Facility is a Weber County work-release and community-service facility. Northern Utah Community Correctional Center is physically in Ogden, but it is a Utah Department of Corrections community correctional center, not a county jail.

Weber County Visitation Records
The Weber County visitation page is the official source for current visiting rules. Inmates who have been classified may have visitors. Social visits are conducted on a video monitor, and appointments must be scheduled at least one day in advance either in the jail lobby or online through Securus. Visit allowance is one or two 25-minute visits per week, depending on classification level.
| Topic | Weber County Jail Research |
|---|---|
| Visitation week | Monday through Saturday; closed Sunday. |
| Lobby hours | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7 AM-9 PM; Wednesday 7 AM-5 PM; Saturday 10 AM-8 PM; closed Sunday. |
| Public visitation hours | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1 PM-9 PM; Wednesday no public visits; Saturday 10 AM-8 PM; closed Sunday. |
| Internet visits | Start at 10 AM Monday through Saturday. |
| Clergy visits | Qualified clergy may schedule at least 24 hours in advance; proof of clergy status is required. |
Lockdowns, emergencies, staffing, weather, security issues, and classification can change access. Attorney visits are usually separate from social visits and should be confirmed with jail staff. The jail page should be checked before travel because visit vendor terms and hours can change more often than facility addresses.
Weber County Inmate Contact
The Weber County inmate services page lists the jail rules for mail, phone, commissary, medical access, property, grievances, and other services. Mail must come through the U.S. Postal Service and is not accepted at the lobby window. The researched mail route is the inmate's name and inmate number at PO Box 14000, Ogden, UT 84412. Only white, prestamped or metered postcards are accepted; envelopes, adhesive stamps, pictures, and letters with photos are returned.
Telephone calls are outgoing only. Incoming calls are not accepted. Weber County lists Securus Technologies for inmate telephone service, phone-account deposits, email, and video visiting. Inmates may also transfer funds from commissary money to make telephone calls. For commissary, Weber County describes an inmate trust account, often called the inmate's books, and links online deposits to Inmate Canteen. Lobby deposits may be made by cash or credit card at the jail lobby kiosk during published reception hours, with processing fees confirmed through the current vendor or jail page.
Note: Confirm the person is still in Weber County custody before sending money, scheduling a visit, or mailing a postcard.
County, UDC, BOP, ICE
When Weber County inmate records do not appear on the roster, use a custody-based fallback chain. A person arrested in Weber County may begin in the county jail, but later move to state custody, federal custody, immigration custody, or release. VINELink can help with custody-status notifications where the agency provides data, but it is not the official source for court charges.
| Custody or Record Need | Where to Look | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Current county jail custody | Weber County current inmate roster or jail phone | Covers current local jail custody, not statewide prison custody. |
| Booking reports or historical jail records | Sheriff records bureau and GRAMA request | Used when the roster does not show the needed document. |
| Sentenced state custody or AP&P supervision | Utah Department of Corrections offender search | Uses a state offender number, not the county booking number. |
| Custody notification | VINELink | Notification service for participating agencies; not a court docket. |
| Federal sentenced custody | Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator | Covers BOP inmates from 1982 forward; no BOP institution is in Weber County. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator System | Search by A-number and country or biographical data and country. |
No official Weber County Sheriff's Office app with an app-only inmate roster was confirmed in the sources reviewed. Use the sheriff roster, jail phone, sheriff records bureau, Utah warrant search, court records, UDC offender search, VINELink, BOP, and ICE rather than relying on an unverified app or third-party roster.
